Chris Gilbert (Clinical Psychologist)
A bit about me:
Both my wife & son are neurodivergent. We have 2 cats & a dog. I enjoy sport, fitness & gaming. I play guitar & sing.
“I have an engaging, silly & charismatic style that kids tend to enjoy and a down-to-earth, light-hearted & matter-of-fact approach that adults & teens typically respond well to.”
For child & teen treatment, I can assist with anxiety, emotion regulation, behavioural issues, depression as well as supporting neurodivergent individuals (ADHD & Autism). I like to have a team approach: working with the child / teen, the parents and other professionals/school (if desired).
For adult treatment, I can assist with anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, depression and supporting neurodivergent individuals (ADHD & Autism).
Neurodiversity: Whilst I do not personally have a lived experience of neurodivergence, my wife and son are neurodivergent, so I bring that personal understanding and experience of a “neuro-spicy” home-life, along with my evidence based practice.
Christian Counselling: For those that would like a Christian perspective integrated into their evidence-based treatment
